Schiaparelli 4 year old, half-brother to Bold Henry
Out of the Overbury mare Madam Min, she is the dam of the useful chaser Bold Henry. Trained by Philip Hobbs and owned by J P McManus, Bold Henry was placed on bumper debut, won an Exeter maiden hurdle and then developed into a 144-rated two-mile chaser, registering wins at Sandown and Cheltenham.
In addition to quality relations on the distaff side, this youngster is a product of one of the most upwardly mobile NH sires currently in service. Schiaparelli was a five-time Grp-1 winner during a career that saw him trained in Germany and Newmarket, and thrived from a mile and a half all the way up to two miles. He also had his first festival winners at Cheltenham this year.
Sons of Monsun are increasingly fashionable in NH bloodstock circles thanks to the exploits of Getaway, yet Schiaparelli offers a far more affordable opportunity to buy into the line.
This remains an excellent time to buy his young stock after his success at the Cheltenham festival.
