The month of March saw two Diamond Racing horses at the racecourse, Dalaman and Perardua.
Dalaman ran at Ffos Las and although he produced an improved effort compared to his last few runs his form is still far below the previous season, however the same can be said of many of Tim Vaughan’s horses. The yard has struggled for form since October but upon writing this review Tim’s horses have started to turn the corner and the yard registered a double on bank holiday Monday.
Dalaman is a horse that we have always thought very highly of and looked an outstanding prospect when winning his bumper at Towcester with ease and then finishing fourth in a listed bumper at Cheltenham, when right he would be a horse to follow.
Our second and final runner of March was Perardua. Having her first start since October and her first start for David Evans, we were delighted with her come back run, she was only beaten 4 lengths and we are hopeful she can build on that performance. Perardua was trained by Richard Fahey for us during her 2yr old and 3yr old career and he done a wonderful job with the filly, from 16 starts she won twice and was placed 9 times. She proved a tough and consistent filly but like many horses we felt may benefit from a change of scenery because there were a few races last season where we were not sure how she managed to get herself beat.
I am pleased to report that our 2 year olds are doing well with their trainers but both are still in the educational period of their development but so far so good.
We do have a few shares available in our Richard Fahey trained 2yr old, please visit www.diamondracing.co.uk for more information.
The exciting hurdler, Winter Walk also returned to full training in March. After making a very promising debut in his bumper and over hurdles when finishing second twice, Winter Walk then picked up and injury but now fully recovered we expect to see him back on the track during the summer month.
Our information service continued where we left off in February with a winner. This time at 10/1 and during March the service produced 5 winners and 6 placed each way selections, the winners were priced at 10/1, 11/4, 9/2, 9/4 & 7/4 and of the placed horses they were priced at 16/1, 10/1, 9/1 and 8/1 to mention a few.
March also seen the new Diamond Racing website go live, which we are delighted with. If you haven’t already taken a look please do, we would welcome any feedback. The new Diamond Racing App is also coming soon and will be free to download on all smart phones.
With all our horses now back in full training April will be an awful lot busier in terms of runners with Doctor Kehoe also set to return to the track along with Espoir and Perardua who is already pencilled in for a race at Southwell in the next few weeks.
Once again, thank you for your support.
