Dalaman returned to the track at Chepstow on Tuesday after 13 months on the sidelines with an impressive victory on his first start for new trainer Neil Mulholland.
Dalaman is a horse that we always thought highly of having won his bumper and claiming fourth in the Cheltenham listed bumper we were looking forward to his hurdles career.
However the past 2 seasons were plagued by injuries and setbacks but after 13 months of problem solving and a change of trainer Dalaman seems to have put his issues behind him.
Ridden by Tom Scudmore Dalaman always held a handy position and apart from the third hurdle from home his jumping was slick and having jumped the last he readily put 4 lengths between himself and his nearest rival.
It was great for his owners who kept the faith through a difficult few seasons and hopefully this victory will go some way to thanking them.
