Dalaman Pleases On Debut

Dalaman produced a very pleasing debut performance at Exeter on Tuesday to finish third beaten just over a length.

However, it was a case of what may have been.

Turning into the straight Dalaman mounted his challenge and went for a gap that was quickly closed, getting knocked sideways he then found himself behind a wall of horses and Richard Johnson had no choice but to pull Dalaman out wide.

With just over a furlong too run Johnson asked Dalaman for his effort and he came storming down the outside but the line came too soon and it was a race we really should have won.

Nevertheless a decent start and he rates a very nice prospect.
